I think most of the people my age or those who belong in the millennial age bracket own at least one social media account. This is quite reasonable and ubiquitous especially in this digital age. In retrospect, if I would gauge myself on where I was in the Social Technographics Ladder before Digital Marketing class happened, I would consider myself as a combination of a “Joiner” and a “Spectator”. I was and still am a Joiner because I maintain two profile accounts in Facebook and Instagram and remain an active user of both social media platforms. I’m also a Spectator because I regularly listen to people’s podcast, read interesting blogs and also watch videos uploaded by random people in Youtube or shared by friends in my Facebook newsfeed or Instagram.

Now, I could proudly say that I’m already a “Creator!” *insert applause here*

Honestly, I’m quite astonished on how my Digital Marketing class developed my digital skills and increase my online presence in various online platforms in just a short span of time. It’s amazing and quite fulfilling to be able to create your own blog, to watch your own videos in Youtube, to learn the other side of Facebook, which is how their advertising works, and so on. It makes me socially relevant and connected. Digital Marketing, indeed, is one of the most practical and most fitting courses to learn and master in this day and age, especially in the current situation we are in now where most industries are already going online.
